    Image Size

    Hi Mabster

     I have tried many comic collection programs and this one beats the lot by a long shot.  I am ecstatic over the design and simplicity of adding new issues, even ones not online yet (my wife didn't seem to want to look at it at 10pm after I had entered a few issues!!!)

    One question I have is this:  I love the Silver Surfer skin with the size of the thumbnails but the issue viewing size is too small for me.  The issue viewing size image is a good size in the Fanboy skin but the thumbnails are too big for my liking.  It could be my 41 year old eyes too but is there an easy way for me to adjust this without programming my own skin or changing the existing ones?

    Again I love the program.  It's also good to see one where outside changes are welcome (if beneficial)

    Thanks

    Hey Ugh!

    Thanks for the kind words! Really glad you like it.

    I think I see what you mean.

    Some skin creators deliberately scale the thumbnails to a size that suits them. Others leave it up to Comicster.

    Take a look at the "Maximum Thumbnail Size" in the options dialog (Tools|Options -> Thumbnails tab). If the skin's leaving it up to Comicster to determine how big the thumbnails should be, then that's where it's set.

    The only thing you'll probably need to do if you change that setting is regenerate the thumbnails. Click on the folder, or title, or issue that you want to regenerate thumbnails for, and then click "Tools|Reload Thumbnails". That'll re-create them with the new size.

    Hope this helps!
    Matt

    Re: Image Size

    Thanks for the help but the image I actually want to resize is the single issue display.  I want to make it about 1/3 bigger than what is on the Silver Surfer "view issue" screen.  The images themselves are about 200k (until I scan my own) and if I use Fanboy the single issue view shows the image at actual size.  How do the other skins restrict the image size?

    Cheers

    Craig

    Re: Image Size

    Most of them would have some CSS code to do it. Have a look in the style.css file for the skin you're using, and look for something along these lines (it won't look exactly like this, but you get the idea):

    img.cover {
       width: 200px;
    }

    You could basically remove that entire chunk of code, or change the size from 200 pixels (or whatever it's set at) to something more to your liking.

    Hope this helps!

    Re: Image Size

    Thanks Mabster, that worked perfectly.  Now to the task of entering all the details.
